Cultural Identity Inspires Philanthropic Vision

At the ceremony, COCWONDER Managing Director Mr. Zhang Lei poignantly recounted, “As a Chinese expatriate with two decades abroad, I am profoundly moved by the Malaysian Chinese community’s tenacious preservation of cultural roots. Witnessing Kuantan students averaging less than 15 minutes of daily newspaper engagement sparked our vision to bridge cultural identity through media literacy.” The entrepreneur, who regards Pahang as his adoptive homeland, emphasized that the initiative transcends mere newspaper distribution, aiming to cultivate critical thinking among youth through daily exposure to sociopolitical discourse.
